I read that it is not wider, which is great as it fits in my hand perfectly now.

It is thinner which wil be nice for fitting in my pocket.

But I can't decide if it being longer will make any noticeable ergonomic or aesthetic difference?

"A bad thing" being relative, if you can't decide (your last sentence) then for you, the answer is likely no.

It's now harder to hit that (back) button using the phone with the right hand.

Most of the time I keep mine in my front pants pocket. Not sure if a taller phone will be an issue. Being 20% lighter is good.

Won't it be nearly impossible to reach the top left corner?

If you have small hands it might. People make a bigger issue out of this than what is needed. Even those with small hands can position their hand in order to reach objects on a measly 4inch screen.

The only thing i don't like is how the taller screen looks slightly stupid. All of IOS devices have been 4:3, why change it now?
