Do you think the keynote will be live-streamed (on the basis of where it is and any other factors)?

Has there been any event in recent years that has yet to be live streamed?

I think the days of not living streaming are over, if this is indeed a new product category announcement I would expect it.

The last September one wasn't (Apple wanted it to be a small keynote).

Recent years? The last two have been live streamed. The last two, and they were relatively minor keynotes. Not the last eight.

That's not even a year of live streams.

This event is being held at a place where there's three times the seating, so Apple is expecting this to be a large event. My hope is that it'll be live streamed.

Apple has been very inconsistent with streaming their events.

WWDC 2014 - Streamed
iPad Oct 2013 Event - Streamed
iPhone Sept 2013 Event - NOT Streamed
WWDC 2013 - Streamed
iPad Oct 2012 Event - Streamed
iPhone Sept 2012 Event - NOT Streamed
iPad March 2012 Event - NOT Streamed
iPhone Oct 2011 Event - NOT Streamed
iPhone June 2010 Event - NOT Streamed

And every iPhone event before it... NOT STREAMED. I am going to make another declaration. The iPhone 2014 event WILL NOT be streamed. ;):apple:

IIRC the streams were only available on apple devices right? So if I want to watch at work I'll need to bring in my iPad and not be able to view on my office Windows PC?

Any time Apple hosts a live stream, it is only available via iOS devices, Apple TV or Macs with Safari.

It was available via Apple TV and the Apple.com website, so any platform should work.

Edit: I'm not 100% sure about live streams via any browser; I know the recordings work in at least Chrome. I usually watch via Apple TV anyhow.

Isn't your post oxymoronic?

1 event in the last couple years has not been streamed...

But if you look at the entire history... the iPhone events have NEVER been streamed. Especially if you notice the trend of the past 2 years... iPhone event has been EXPLICITLY skipped for streaming.

This guy gets it.
