If they get rid of it,at least make if dust and water resistance
i think there is no possibility of Apple doing that. The reason Apple removed it on the iphone was to push bluetooth and dongles. i suspect that most ipad users simply use the built-in speakers... that is why the put 4 great speakers in the Pro.What do you think?
They haven't gotten rid of it on the Macbooks, and presumably they got rid of it for waterproofing on the iPhone, so I'm thinking probably not. But you never know when they might get a bout of courage.

As much a supporter of the headphone jack as I was. It’s been almost 2 years since buying my PowerBeats 3 And BoseQC 35’s
And I have not looked back.
If the engineers need the extra space for a bigger battery or Haptic motor do it.
I use external speakers on my MacBook and need the headphone jack.
