In the old days the 512 GB was often similar to the 1 TB, but with these devices and this test, there seems to be a lot of variability. The 256 GB is the only one that is consistently slower (albeit still at a very decent speed).
My M1 256 has a significantly faster SSD in the Jazz benchmark than my current M4 256, however there is literally no practical difference during work. Even copying files from an external SSD feels the same.
