From what I've been hearing, TRIM is less of an issue on the newer SSDs that suffer less from the drawbacks associated with earlier models.
Unless it becomes a proper standard I doubt Apple will support it; we know how reluctant Apple are to take up new standards unless they are sure they will take. Or of course unless they've made it themselves. Apple love trying to set standards, they aren't as keen however on taking them up unless they made it.
