I've had a Spigen glass screen protector on mine ever since I bought my latest case. The UAG didn't allow it, broke the glass that was on it. My Poetic case works fine with it, don't notice any issues, other than the fingerprints..

I use a Zagg glass screen protector. I had an IPad Pro 12.9 and it got scratched up from the Apple Pencil. So I went to the Genius Bar and asked them to replace the screen. They actually just gave me a new iPad Pro. So I went and got the zagg protector so that I don't have to bother Apple again.

For what it's worth, Apple was really understanding about the exchange.I asked them if they would replace it because it was the Apple Pencil that scratched my screen; and since Apple promotes the Pencil as a 'just use it accessory', they were fine about exchanging the iPad since the pencil scratched the screen.

I use a relatively cheap tempered glass one from amazon. I don't remember the brand. It works fine with the apple pencil

Did the pencil wear down to the brass that is inside the tip?
Did they give you a new pencil tip as well?

No, it didn't wear down to the brass tip. And I already had another tip because I had to buy another Apple Pencil after my puppy found it and turned into a chew toy. So I had the two tips form the other pencil as replacement.

Honestly, I think what may have happened is some kind of soot or dirt got between the pencil and the glass when I was writing.

Had a tempered glass protector. Just got a replacement iPad and even though I have a leftover screen protector, I decided I wouldn't apply a new one. The "naked" glass is a great experience and I have AC+ if anything really awful happens.

I always put the glass screen protectors on any iPads and iPhones I purchase; in fact, I usually have the protectors and cases at the house before the iPad/iPhone arrives. It gives me peace of mind when using mine, and I certainly wouldn't have given the grandkids their iPad minis without them.
