Not at all. Just hit CMD + F to find what I want.

I only use it when I'm bored and want to be surprised with something I never knew was on my computer... so pretty much never.

Nope, have never used it. Can't work out why anyone would, unless they've got a very small number of files. But for anyone who does anything serious on their computer, it's largely useless. If I know where to get to something, I go to the folder directly. Otherwise, I search using Spotlight.
