If you use it, why? and when do you use it and how long (minutes)?
I would like to learn others habits with the app,
I really like the idea of revealing stress and curious how it has worked for others.

I used it a couple of times, to see what it‘s about and how it works. To be honest, I consider it a waste of time…
Jogging or a walk work better for me in terms of getting my head free of anything that might bother me.

I try it every now and then but I find it doesn’t really do anything for me. I de-stress by exercising regularly. Exercise is way more effective.

I do it on occasion when it prompts me. Can't really say for certain that it's having any positive affect, but there is lots of evidence that breath control can help reduce stress, so I figure it can't hurt.

I sometimes do when I know I need to sleep but my body says I’m not quite ready. Just one minute at a time. Probably once a week or so I’d say.

In retrospect, the only times I do Breath are when I have so little on my plate and have literally no stress that I have the time to do it... I think in high-stress situations I am focused on other things, sadly. I wish Apple Watch could sense stress...

I use it twice a day to have accurate readings on AutoSleep. Not sure what it is supposed to do, though.

I use it a fair bit. Not because I’m particularly stressed, but because I like how it just makes me pause and tune out of everything for a moment. Usually do for just one or two minutes throughout the day.

I use it once of twice a day. For a minute. I really have no idea whether it helps.

This was me when the gyms were open but nowadays I use the breath app sometimes randomly. It doesn’t really do anything for me when it comes to stress relief but it’s a bit of fun.

Funny story. A while back I gave my elderly father an Apple Watch. I figured it would encourage him to stand once an hour and walk around, and the taptic notifications would help him if he didn't hear his phone go off. And also for the peace of mind should he fall and need EMS.

Anyway, I set it up for him one day and I'm hanging out at his apartment and he's getting along fine with it, learning how to view stocks, the pedometer and stand reminders and such, then all of a sudden becomes very concerned and shouts out, "the watch is telling me I'm not breathing!!!! I need help!!"

I had left on the breathe reminders and he panicked and thought his watch was telling him he'd stopped breathing temporarily! He was quite relived when I told him what it really meant.

I then promptly disabled that function on his watch.

Other than that little episode, he loves his Apple Watch.

I try to use it....sometimes get too involved in something (while sitting...) and its a good break. Akin to 'Stand' for me...long-term good for (very) short-term annoyance.

I gave up on it. It seems to hit me when I'm really busy at work. I use the "Calm" app instead (bought a lifetime subscription).

I just got rid of pretty much all source of stress in my life and I don't need it.

I do use the handwashing timer though--not for its intention (covid-19 mess) but to get rid of the smell of used oil after I spend an entire day doing tune-ups on cars. I hate the smell of old used oil and it makes me wash so often (and far longer than I tended to) that that annoying smell no longer keeps me up at night.
