Do you use iTunes to sync both an iPhone and iPad?

As you can see in the attached screenshots I have two different options in the Summary section for either device about syncing and opening iTunes. Is this normal and do you see the same?

I have both and just checked and see the same thing as you. Never noticed it before. Odd. 😵

Yep, it's bizarre, I can't imagine why such a difference would exist. I'd love to know if anybody has anything different.

Yeah, it shows up like that here too.

My theory is that people most likely just plug the iPad in for charging and iTunes File Sharing so they just figured they'd take off the automatic sync button barely anyone uses but still save you the step of opening iTunes. 😵
