I absolutely love web browsing in vertical. Really outstanding, and if it did nothing else this would be almost worth the money.

Its interesting, I have never really thought about it but I used the iPP (and my previous iPad) almost exclusively in landscape. Really, the only time I don't is if an app forces me to use it vertically.

I don't have an iPP, but have always used my iPad Air 2 in landscape. Never even considered to using it vertical typically, but then the other day I started using it vertical and for some reason it just feels so natural, like it's a magazine or a book, and for some reason it has been really enjoyable to use that way. Give it a try. Might be weird with the Pro, but 1 handed with the air in Vertical is really nice.

I use both depending on how and where I'm using it. Generally portrait for web browsing and such, I really like the feel especially with News in slideover view. I also find portrait is easier to hold one handed as the weight distribution is better. I tend to go landscape for everything else like if I'm using the Pencil or want to use splitview for something. Safari in landscape is too BIG on the Pro though, you see a lot more content at a reasonable size in portrait.

A lot of reviews criticized the device in portrait orientation but I think it's great. Especially when you open the keyboard and you get to type on something the size of an Air in landscape, which I'm very accustomed to, and still have a huge display area to see what you're doing - even while using multitasking. Awesome!
