Chat all the time with family. They live pretty far away.

Also catch up with some friends from school occasionally.

absolutely! i use my isight all the time to video chat with my sister in michigan and other friends who are away at school in other states. i even hook my macbook up to a 42 inch tv via the mini dvi-vga adapter and set the macbook on the tv stand so the person im chatting with can view the whole room. it works really great, the quality of the video is really good, also the microphone is amazing, it picks up your voice even when youre across a large room. i use it multiple times per week and there's plenty of others who do too, thats why its now standard to have a camera on most notebooks...

Not normally, but I do use it every now and again.

Perverts?;)

I hate the isight I hope the new MB has it optional. Why is it even standard in the first place?

why would you hate something thats an added feature and doesnt interfere with anything? it would never be optional becuase then there would be a million different models of macbooks with all different features if apple made everything optional. thats chaos, im sure you know that. i can bet my life the new macbook wont have it optional cuz thats just a stupid idea. a feature is a feature.

Video chats with friends from Uni over the summer when they go home. I also have a few friends abroad and around the country that I would never physically see otherwise.

It's important to note that a lot of college students, when looking at laptops for school, love going to the Apple Store and playing around with the iSight.

Also, it seems like a HUGE growing trend in the PC laptop market that (inferior, for the most part) iSight-like webcams are built in.

Clearly enough people like and use them.

I used it a lot to video chat and to send pictures to my fiance when I was in a long-distance engagement. Now I rarely touch it unless there is a cat being cute in my lap while I'm on the computer.

Hardly ever...I use it to record myself playing guitar sometimes just for fun.

However, I would rather have it than not have it, even though I don't use it much.

My girlfriend goes to school 5 hours away, we video chat frequently, its just a little better than calling because I get to see her.

no pervert stuff either, save that for when shes home
