Then I guess my home button will experience less usage too since I intend to enable the multitasking gestures. Five finger pinch will bring me back to the home screen, and I feel like that'll be more convenient since I'm already using the touch screen.

yep...exactly. i've got multi-gestures enabled (i can't believe that apple doesn't have this enabled by default) and my fingers never have to go near the home button ever again.

I uses it pretty much every time as I usually always have the smart cover on.

Use the smart cover to wake it up then use it agin to put it to sleep.

I almost never use the power button anymore, and also almost never slide to unlock.

It can be turned off regardless if your case supports it. So you can in fact avoid it.

i used a no-cost method outlined in the URL below:

there's a little manual work required so no, i wouldn't necessarily call it easier than using Xcode, but it works and you can't beat the price.

That's the exact same case I ordered! I love the cases Switcheasy makes. I have a Switcheasy case for both of my iPod Touch's (not really sure how to spell the plural of that).
