I'm pretty curious... How many of you iPhone 4 users use your iPhone as a flashlight?

I'm asking this because I use mine as one almost every night. I actually use the flash more as a flashlight, than I do for actually taking pictures. I know a few people that are exactly the same as me.

So, with that being said... Which do you use more? The actual camera flash, or using it as a flashlight in the dark?

Edit: Oh, and if you do use your iPhone as a flashlight, which app are you using?

Activator + Springflash = Success. All I've gotta do is hold down my volume buttons simultaneously to instantly turn the flash on or off. Doesn't matter what screen I'm on.

in my opinion, springflash needs to be updated so it'll work even if the phone is in sleep mode. I mean, it works if you put the phone to sleep and use activator right away to enable springflash, but if the phone's been sleep-mode for more than a few minute, it won't work.

and having to turn on the screen, which is generally bright to begin with, to turn on flash is kind of redundant imo

I have Flashlight 123 installed in case I ever need it, but have never used it.

I carry a Photom Freedom flashlight in my keychain that is always with me. In the house I have a huge elcheapo Spotlight and for the car a Maglite LX100. You could say I'm a bit of a flashligt geek. :D

I use "Torch" from the SwitcherPlus app under Cydia

triple tap the home button from the lockscreen and there goes your light

Flashlight is perfect. Does exactly what I need. The display doesn't shine brightly in your face as you are using it like some of the "Pro" flashlights.

I've only used the flash for the camera only a handful of times to be honest, and it's almost been a year since I've had it. It gets used all the time as a flashlight.

Yes, I use flashlight app. I use it mostly for quick things like opening locks in dim light and getting to the car in the dark.

light

I actually just use the eBay app and you can turn the light on to look for Bar codes, think I'll have a look for a purpose built app now! :)

I just turn it on to find my way in the dark during late night potty trips. Have also used it to light up a dinner receipt in places too dark to read the bill. No special app - just turn it on to regular screen.
