Yep... I use a mouse.

I use my MacBook as a desktop allot (60% of the time), so I would have to use a mouse or my wrist would probably develop some weird iArthritis.

Mighty Mouse FTW!

When I'm at a desk, always a mouse. Helps prevent RSI.

I actually just picked up a Expert trackball, will hook it up tomorrow and give it a shot - been a while since I used a trackball.

I use it with a mouse often, but usually not at a desk. either in my lap on the couch with a mouse, or at a table. Problem is, simply internet browsing (no flash) REALLY heats up my Macbook. I wonder why I'm so warm, with the cool temperature inside, and then remember I'm using an Apple notebook, which is notorious for heat issues due to being so thin, and having a mediocre cooling system.

Especially when I'm playing AoE3 on it though, it gets REALLY hot (180 F).

i used to, but now im so good with the trackpad and used to it now that i love the trackpad, always used to use a desktop less then 2 months ago and since the macbook, the track pad is like freestyle mouse movement to me lol

all powerful notebooks these days get pretty warm around 50-70 degrees C and Intels chips are made to with stand temps up to 80. the cooling system is actually the hardware's job but i find OS X handles power management quite well. Apple makes the default fan speed quite low for aesthetics but this in turn makes the MacBooks hotter.

just get a fan control app like SMC Fan Control and set it > 2000 rpm. it should fell cooler but it may suck a few minutes of battery life.

My MacBook spends most of its time on my desk where I use a wireless Mighty Mouse. When I'm on the road I *sometimes* bring a mouse, but very often I don't because I don't want to bother with the extra baggage.

When I come home from school I hook my Macbook up with a Cinema Display including BT mighty and BT alu keyboard. I like it this way:)

I'm always at school so its just more handy for me to have it without my mouse. though, when im at home and want to play some games/ do some hw i usually use my bluetooth RocketFish laser mouse. i find that the more i use the trackpad the better i get so some day i may just phase out my use of a mouse completely.

I have fan control running at a permanent 3200 RPM. ;) Trust me, it still gets unacceptably hot with simple tasks, over extended periods.

ps

I usually dont - in all my past years of college and working away from the desk, I have gotten pretty good at the trackpad. However certain tasks, like cutting an object out in photoshop, is LOADS easier with a mouse.

Yeah, I use a mouse with my PowerBook most of the time.

I use the Logitech VX Nano all the time (90%). There are times when I use the trackpad, but I carry the mouse with me where ever I go. I like the fact that I have a bunch of buttons programmed on the mouse, makes it easier to multitask. Plus the mouse and USB receiver is so small, it makes it easy to carry.
