While we're on the subject, I might as well bring up the airport extreme and apple TV. They both get EXTREMELY hot. It hurts to touch them. I just don't get why they both run so hot. My previous wifi router never even got warm.

To be perfectly honest I didn't even realize it gets hot. I have it on my hardwood floor away from my feet. If we're talking about cooking your breakfast on your MBP, well that's a different story since I know my MBP can get *ahem* a tad warm :D

In my student house it was a necessity. In fact I would fire up terminal to ramp my processors up to 100% when I first got into bed so the machine itself would be nice and toasty.

I also used to carry my power brick in my pocket on cold mornings to keep my hands warm.

I rarely use the power brick for this, I tend more to slide my iBook down to the bottom of the bed to block up the vents a bit then I rest my feet on the palm rests while I work on something else. Bliss :)

As a rule of thumb: it's an Apple product if it burns you when you touch it. :D

But really, a lot of Apple products tend to run hot. Even my iPhone does when its charging or when I'm on the phone. I use my MBP to warm up my hands sometimes.

Umm.. No.. I live in Florida, it rarely gets under 36 degrees fahrenheit here, so I rarely am looking for a way to warm up my feet. Also my PowerBrick isn't reachable by my feet, I have it located on a shelf in my desk.
