My vision is horrible. My vision in my "best" eye is much worse than either of my parents' "good eyes", both of whom wear glasses. I find them uncomfortable...w00t for contact lenses! :D

I have glasses, and need to them to see distance but they're not on my license photo (still, I got my license prior to getting glasses)

I generally wear them when I go out and don't when I'm in.

I know wearing glasses isn't cool for sniper cats such as yourself, but I'm pretty sure it will make life easier.

I used to avoid my glasses like crazy too. It took me like 2 years to adjust to my glasses (mainly for reading). They gave me headaches 'cause I wore them so rarely

Incidentally am I the only sporadic glasses wearer that doesn't wear them outside because it feels like they'll blow away? (this is going to be a yes isn't it?)

I recently got reading glasses, although I can do without them if computer/iPhone/book is far enough away or there is reasonable light.
First day I wore them at school, one of the students accused me of tying to look like a teacher.
I am a teacher...

I've been wearing glasses for about 15 years now, and I'm 21. I've tried contacts, but I absolutely hate them. I don't mind too much since I like glasses anyway.

I wear them when I read or am using my computer. Otherwise, I don't need them.

Speaking of which, I have, of late, graduated to bi-focals. :(

The top is for driving, the bottom for reading.

Problem. The iMac is between the two.

So, instead of tri-focals , I have taken to wearing my specs half-way down my nose for the computer. No need to see the keys as I am a touch-typist. :D

My vision: -5.50 on my right eye, -5.00 on my left.

I wear contacts, but they've been bothering me lately, so I've been wearing glasses.

Agreed and it does sometimes...especially when i've been staring at a computer screen or reading the whole day, then the eyes get tired around that 10pm mark and i have to use them but unless things get blurry i refuse to wear them

I guess i'm trying to prevent becoming wholly dependent on them for as long as possible

Quoted for truth.

Dependency on glasses is not good. My mom had decent vision just needed them to she better when reading, started wearing them for everything because the doctor said it was alright to wear them at all times. 4 years later, her eyes are drastically worse.

I wear glass most of the time. I can not function with out corrective lenses. I am near sight to the point where that I almost have to wear glasses when I am reading. Anything more than 12 in (30cm) or more from my face become blurry. That 12in also happens to be about the distance I books are from my face while reading. It hovers in and out of that zone so I wear glasses.

I would love to be able to wake up in the morning and be able to read my alarm clock. Hell it would be nice to be able to find my glasses my sight rather than feel as I can not see them on the table or if they fall on the floor.

I feel so much more comfortable with my vision while wearing contacts. My peripheral is good, and no glare from the glasses. Have you tried different kinds - different fits? They make so many variations these days.

Same here. I don't usually wear them at home, but I need them for school.

that's the main reason I haven't switched to contacts. If I had to wear them all the time I might go for it, but being as it's only when I go out (mostly) I'd end up taking them in and out all the time, or leaving them and letting my eyes get weaker..

i wear them when i need to be reading a lot. my left eye sucks. when i play games, or go on the computer i usually put them on.

but sometimes i dont want to go and get them in my room or something.

i never travel with them - scared i'm going to lose/break them.

but last time in WPB, FL and Gainesville i didn't have a problem aslong as i kept them on ahah
