Well, I tried customizing my dock with a 3rd party app, but after applying the changes, I noticed that a new icon appeared in my dock - the icon for Dock.app. When I try quitting the app, it has a similar effect to the terminal command "killall Dock" - the dock quits, relaunches, and the icon is still there. http://i40.tinypic.com/mx20qw.png http://oi42.tinypic.com/v46mn4.jpg Since then I've tried numerous things: 1) Deleting the com.apple.dock.plist files. 2) Uninstalling and restoring the settings in the third party app. 3) "killall Dock" numerous times. I've Googled this matter, but obviously, it has been to no avail. So, my question, of course, is: HOW THE HELL DO I GET THE GODDAMN THING OUT OF THERE! I have done a Time Machine backup, and am contemplating a reinstall, but does time machine keep system preferences as well? Thank you for your help in advance!
