Does anybody out there know how to change the application name that shows up when you mouseover an app's icon in the dock? For example, i have two version of matlab that i need to run, and if i put both in the dock they both say "startMATLAB" but i'd like each one to say the version. Any ideas?

Which means.. I think:
Find the original app (like in the Apps folder), rename it there, then drag to the dock.
In finder the name is "MATLAB 7.4" but when i drag it to the dock it shows up as "StartMATLAB." I did just notice that this works with all other apps, so it might be a matlab thing.
EDIT: ahhh it's a shortcut to another app, which i can rename to what i want. Thanks guys.
