Dock help, back to 3D

hello - i have a normally macbook. and i instailled alot of programs in the start with all kind of ****. now i delected them all - but my dock is in 2D it seems - i want it back to 3D like i was when i bought the computer!

anybody help, how to set the dock back to 3D 🙂 ?

defaults write com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean NO

nothing happens when i type "com.apple.dock no-glass -boolean NO" into the terminal? :S wrong command it says

You have to type the whole thing ... copy and paste.

I forgot to add this: after the command prompt returns type:

killall dock

okay now i did that but there is something on the dock saying "Palette demo version" i am not sure it says Palette but demo version after.

but it is 3D now , now how do i remove that **** on dock?

Sounds like a dock changing app, you'll need to open it, undo whatever change you made with it and the dock should be back to normal.

Is Palette an app? If it is, then just delete the app.

Hm... either search around for some Terminal commands to search for absolutely ANYTHING that has that name in it. Otherwise, Archive and Install.

It is an app. I've Googled it.

You've installed the demo, and apparently uninstalled it some time ago.

If the original dock files have been deleted, no app can help you.

Could just be a wonky file somewhere. Try an Archive and Install:

i fixed it, i downloaded the program and instailled it and toke restore to normal dock. thank you for the help!
