Dock Icons not recognizing that app is on

A few of the icons on my dock show that the application is closed although it's actually open. What's odd is only a few are doing this.
- Safari
- Adium
- Parallels
- iTunes
- Firefox

I've tried removing them and then opening up the finder window to applications and dragging them back onto the dock, however, it still does not work.

Need help!

Log out and back in. That reboots the Dock.

Well now I just feel silly. I could have swore that I tried that. Working perfectly now. Thank you SO much!!!
