Hi,

For the last couple of days suddenly three icons show up in my dock; Mission Control, App Store, and FaceTime.

I remove them, but they show up (consistently) again when I reboot

Any takers?

Hi,

Checked out the login items, and there is nothing out of the ordinary, and the icons still show up. This is really driving me crazy. I have a cleaned up Dock, and I do not want these three icons. Every time I remove them from dock, they come back at next reboot

Hi,

I installed ESET Security a few days ago, and when I uninstalled it, the issue with the icons went away. It somehow must have to do with ESET...

Thanks for posting the "solution", Bo. Indeed I would not have divined upon it.

Like you, I am at a loss to explain the cause/effect relationship.

Still, you might drop the developer a line just to see if this issue makes sense to him. Alas, I know not of ESET.
