Hey guys, maybe this is talked about somewhere on there, but haven't had the time to search it out. If it has, would someone redirect me if you can? If not:

I'm using the latest update of Lion. In using stacks on the Dock, clicking on the "Open in Folder" doesn't work. It'll just close the stack for me and do nothing.

I've also had a problem where when I right click the trash can to delete unwanted files, it won't clear the trash for me. Instead I have to "securely" delete the files through the finder. Doesn't matter what's in the trash.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Of course, you mean "Open in Finder".
So either there's a problem with the Dock or the Finder. Both have plist files that you can "reset".

Go to
~/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/

It's hidden, so you'll have to Option-click the Go Menu (one method of several) to get into that Library folder.

Find the files
com.apple.dock.plist
com.apple.finder.plist

Move one of them to the Desktop and Restart. That will create a new plist file set to defaults. If it fixes the problem, you're done. (Trash the file you moved.) If not, repeat for the second one. Hope that solves it for you.

Wow! You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you!! Best fix ever
