Dock issues

Hi There,

I've just got a brand new 27' iMac (10.8 OSX) and I seem to have some weird issue with my dock.
Everytime i hover the cursor over the dock it disappears, therefore making it impossible to open apps from the dock.

If I right click near the dock I can then open the apps from the dock.

Anyone had this issue?

Try altering the dock preferences in system preferences, that might help/mix things up a bit.

tried already, I've been using iMacs for quite a while so I'm used to docks....never seen this issue though

Open Terminal and type "killall Dock" this will kill and restart all of the Dock processes.

Tried that too...still no dice.

It's not a massive issue as i can access my apps thru mission control but as it's brand spanking new everything should work
