Dock Keeps Disappearing When Swapping Apps

Hi guys,

I'm not sure why this is happening, but sometimes when I try to swap to another application (which is open on another Space), the dock will freeze for a second and then disappear (coming back a second later).

Any idea why this would happen, or how I can diagnose what's going wrong?

I've been having problems with this ever since the upgrade to 10.5.3.
