Dock laggy after reboot

I have my dock setup for hiding and every time I restart my MacBook, the dock is laggy for the first few times I bring it up. How can I fix this?

have you tried clearing out dock cache using onyx?

Yes, I have. Same deal.

It turns out it was a bad .plist file. Removed it and all is well. Thanks for the help.
