Dock settings not remembered after each restart

So i have my Leopard dock set to the non-glass one (image attached below) and resized it. However, anytime i restart the computer the Dock goes back to the default...maximum..size..not remembering the size (smaller) i set it to.

Any idea why this is?...is it my fault or Leopard fault?
