Wondering if anyone has noticed when you open your Macbook and it awakes from sleep (only has done it when asleep for a long period of time) the dock is clear and shiny, then quickly reverts to its current look?!

I'd like to see it, too. When I come back from sleep I am looking at the login screen so I can't see the dock.

It looks like this...

The dock is no longer shown from a set of image files. It is rendered by the gpu. What you are seeing is probably just a slight lag time after waking for it to be "re-rendered".
