Dock?

This is probobly stupid but...
What is a good dock for a Macbook , or do they even have dock option (i havent been able to find one)?

You can set certain Dock parameters in the System Preferences. For more customization including colour, transparency etc. you should check out TinkerTool (free).

The above may well become redundant if you're upgrading to Leopard.
 
^ He's talking about a docking station, not the OS X dock.

That said, Apple doesn't make docks for their laptops.

Right, and the only docks I have ever seen are basically just port replicators. They plug wholly into the ports on the MacBooks and MacBook Pros, and in my mind are little better than just using a USB Hub and plugging in your monitor, power and whatnot. Especially when you consider how much they cost (multiple hundreds)

I agree. Far too expensive for what they are. They seem to just be time-savers, but most I've seen are quite ugly. Don't know how it would look hanging out the side of a nice minimalistic macbook. 😕

Exactly, I am sure that Apple could find a way to add in a dock connector to the bottom of at least teh MacBook pro, and still keep it thin, and sleek.
