Does 2nd Mic on Series 2 Really Make a Difference?

I have an original Apple Watch and just want to know if anyone has had any experience in telling whether the 2nd mic on the Series 2 makes any difference on phone calls or using siri? Thanks.

There is NO 2ed mic. It is for an unused barometer.
