Xenomorph macrumors 65816 Mar 19, 2012 #3 The iPhone 3G hasn't had any updates since iOS 4.2.1! Your options are going with 4.2.1, dropping to 3.1.3 (for best performance), or using something like whited00r, which supposedly adds some iOS 5 functionality to the iPhone 3G.
