As the title says, can the board from a 2.4GHz C2D MacBook with a damaged case be transplanted into the case of a 2.0Ghz CD MacBook from 2006?

It appears not - have a look at this listing. Somebody bought a 2.4GHz logicboard to replace the one in their core 2 duo machine and it don't fit so he is selling it.......

Loads of differences in the connectors - fan, heatsink and I think even the speaker connectors too.

It's a bigger job than just replacing the board.

If you decide not to go ahead I might be interested in the board as a replacement for a Santa Rosa MacBook which this board will fit.
