Pretty straight forward question.

I can't seem to find too much on Google. I'm trying to work out whether or not a visible dock slows down general Mac performance, of if the hidden dock slows down things because it pops up so often and has bouncy icons to remind you when something is needing attention etc.

Anyone know?

No performance hit at all....I don't hide my dock, but it will make no differnece to the performance of your Mac if you do.
