For everyone who ordered between April 10 and 17th, is there anyone that has not received their watch? (excluding personal/financial reasons.)

If who what kind of watch was it that you haven't gotten yet?

Mike,

Apple hasn't even shipped all the watches ordered on April 10, must less in those later days that you mention. Just check any of the big threads on this page you will see people complaining about ordering on April 10 and still not having their watch. Maybe all the 38s have been shipped. But forget about the 42 SS with Link. Check back in a few weeks and maybe Apple will have satisfied all the pre-orders through April 17.

Omg, oh ... I stopped following the thread for mine once it was shipped last week ...

I was expecting happy good news and .. Wow.

There are people who ordered 4/10 at XX.02 and XX.03 that haven't gotten their watches!

How? A certain model?? Card declined? Odd... That would suck. My confirmation was at X:15 the watch came May 14th to my door.

What the hell is the problem? Wow, this launch is a bit beyond rocky.

I ordered on 4/18 so technically still a preorder and no movement other than last Thursday the generic "June" was replaced with the generic 22 June- 29 June:confused:

Seems like you're joking...

The 42mm space gray watches have only been delivered up until 11 minutes into pre-orders.

I ordered mine at 3:12am EST on April 10th (12 minutes into pre-orders), and I JUST got a 'Preparing for shipment' message. I'm still waiting. I should get mine later this week.

Ordered the 12th. June 22nd-29th for 42mm sport SG.

Ordered wife on on may 14th. Ship date June 12-25. 38mm SG.

Nothing rocky.

No one's Watch has been late (that I know of). These are all cases where the specific models were given late delivery estimates to begin with. The people complaining knew when they pre-ordered what the delivery estimates were. No cause for alarm.

(as an example, I preordered at x:03 and got a 'June' date for my Black Stainless Steel. It's not June yet, no reason for me to complain)

Does all of the early pre-orders have their watch?

I ordered on April 10,. 42mm SS with Black Leather Loop. Just today I got preparing to ship. So no, not everyone that ordered early got them. Certain combos had to wait a long time, leather loop, SG Sport Watch, Black Stainless, modern buckle.

I fully understand the delivery window, I have a June date also. So, If June 30th comes then I have reason to complain. My comment was directed to the OP as he seemed to think all preorders had shipped.

No. You are wrong. Independent of your delivery window logic, a 2+ month delay for a preorder absolutel qualifies as "rocky" *at best*.

I'm guessing you don't have a lot of experience pre-ordering items. Months on a pre-order is very typical. Years on a pre-order is not unheard of.

Is this a different experience for Apple? A little, but definitely not unprecedented with them, even for items without major production problems (eg. the white iPhone 4) people often wait a fair bit of time when ordering new iPhones that are in high demand.

As well, if Apple understands their supply chain, their manufacturing partner's challenges, and shipping issues all well enough to be able to predict ahead of time, accurately, the delivery window of a brand new product months in advance, I'd say they have a pretty good grip on things. Not the 'disaster' some people would like to paint this as.

Early deliveries for some is just a bonus.

Depends fully on what the product is. But, I would think it Is fair to assume the poster was comparing to other apple launches. None has been this delayed, this quickly, for this many people.

With that said, I don't think the delay makes the launch "rocky" by any means. Apple made a strategic decision to continue with the launch as product drips out in the market. Could be simply because of the manufacturer issues reported, or it could be that Apple didn't want to flood the market with a new product that could have overwhelmed retail and support staff...or a combination of both.

+1

Also, with your iPhone's and iPad's there is the illusion of more stock because there are more locations you can get it from. Apple website, Apple Store, Your Carrier, other Retailers etc. With the watch you have to go via Apple.

**** all has been shipped!

You are very insightful. And you're not fooling anyone here. It's not even a good try. Sorry.

People that ordered between 4/10-4/17 are stuck with June 22-29 delivery and people that ordered today also have June 22-29 delivery.

So yea people that preordered early on have a longtime left to wait

I don't have mine yet. I ordered at 8am on the 11th April. 42 SS with Milanese Loop. Mine is still processing, with an estimate of 5-6 weeks. Delivers 22nd - 29th June!

Don't have mine yet, ordered 10/4/2015 (UK), got a confirmation email at 8:04am, SB SS 42MM! Delivery estimate 12th May - 26th May! Still Processing Items! :apple:

The only thing that I wish Apple would have done differently is not provide the first batch a date range -- they should have all shipped on the 24th, unless otherwise stated. That being said, I have yet to hear of a single instance of someone not receiving their watch after their promised window.
