Apparently custom InputManagers don't work with Apple's 64 bit programs. So most of these Safari plugins are relying on an architecture that isn't there. But, they'll work if you run Safari in 32 bit mode.
So, speed and ads, or... well, slightly less speed, and no ads. Decisions, decisions...
Just gonna say, I was skeptical of using a proxy based ad blocker, but Glimmerblocker was completely painless to install and required almost zero config, and works better than Safari Adblock or Safariblock did.
Glimmerblocker is okay, except for the grey loading bar that doesn't go away in Safari. That also happened when Safari was updated to 4.0.3 when using Safari AdBlocker before it was fixed to stop that.
