I just don't really like how everything is laid out. Anybody know if you can change that? And just want to know what people think of Lion and the Finder window now.

I don't understand what you mean by "how everything is laid out".

Pretty much everything is customizable except maybe bringing back the color in the sidebar.

Get Total Finder

Also there was a way to bring back color to all your folders with Leopard and Snow Leopard. I imagine, you can do that with Lion. You may also want to get CandyBar.

I didn't really like it either until I figured out how to the put the "Macintosh HD" quicklink and the capacity bar back on there. Now I don''t really care.

Thanks for the tip. And you're sig says FREEPALESTINE. I want to know what you mean by that bc i am half Palestinian.

Finder Window

They have done it that way to bring it closer to the way iPads work. I actually like it...Just swipe gently to scroll through documents, pictures files etc.

One tip if you have a magic mouse is to slow the scroll gestures down...They were way to fast at the default. :)

I just don't like that it doesn't tell you how much disk space is available anymore. Am I, by any chance, missing some option for that, other than "Get Info"?

If so, then screw Apple's whole making the UI simpler... hiding the Library folder on me was a low enough blow.

you can set something to show how much space is left. Watch soldierknowsbests vid.

Can you please explain how to add the Mac HD quicklink? Thanks.

Finder Menu bar > preferences > side bar

if we are talking about the same thing ...

finder menu bar > view > show sidebar

While in Finder, go to View and select Show status bar. It will show your disk space at the bottom?
