It wasn't that bad on the 6S I had.

On the iPhone X, I feel like I have to press REALLY hard to get the motion.

Was wondering it was a defect on mine or do others feel the same way.

Other than that, I LOVE my iPhone X. Battery life has been meh for some reason lately but I can handle.

iPhone X is truly a dream device for me.

Have you tried the options under Settings > General > Accessibiltiy > 3D Touch?

It says it's on "Light"

When I put it on "Firm" it literally hurts my finger

I kind of wish there was an "Extra Light" unless mines just defective.

If it is defective, I would still be on the fence of whether or not change it out or get it fixed because everything else is real good.

I remember reading something about 3D Touch not working in the first few seconds after unlocking the phone.

I felt mine was dodgy too when I first got the X, but after reading about the unlocking delay & also adjusting the sensitivity, I don't think it's as bad.

I think that was addressed in one of the recent updates (iOS 11.4, or something like that).

You might be right....just tested it & it's ready to go upon unlocking.

Maybe the OP just needs to adjust - may be pressing it too hard. It's a lighter touch than my 6S I find (on the most sensitive setting). On the standard setting, it wasn't as responsive as the equivalent setting on the 6S, but I only used the standard setting prior to ~2 IOS updates ago, so it may be more responsive..

I’m not using iPhone X, but my iPhone 6s Plus has similar syndrome, which I feel even pressing harder is not enough to trigger force touch. This happens both in a game and in the home screen.
My feeling is the screen touch function of my phone is not working properly, rather a “force touch only” issue.

Ahhh ok! I think I found the solution...

Pressing TOO hard doesn’t work. I think I’m mashing down too hard and then getting it eventually but if I press super light it works.

Go figure lol
[doublepost=1528874931][/doublepost]Although I do feel there is a bit of delay, which I don’t like. Maybe just gotta get used to it.

Yeah I used to get frustrated because I'd press too hard & then my icons would start wiggling...

But that hasn't happened for a while now since I've adjusted.

Yes, I think it has to do with the screen now being OLED.
