You answered your own question- your pics are fine. It could be residual adhesive. As long as your phone's camera operates as described by Apple standards, there most likely shouldn't be a problem, but I can imagine folks with OCD could have a problem with it.
 
I've seen a similar thing on mine. I think it is internal reflections. Not a concern.
 
It seems like you're just looking for problems.

If there is nothing wrong with the pictures it's producing I wouldn't worry about it.
 
Or I want to get what I paid for. If this was a cheap device, I'd be with you. There's no excuse for Apple to keep bragging about the "best phone" and shipping them with dead pixels or other problems.
With a mass produced product there will be a minority that have issues. It happens with all kinds of products, even top of the line ones in all kinds of industries. Basically simply the nature of reality.

For goodness sake--If you are so worried about it, take it to the Apple Store to have it checked out. Be sure to make an appointment first.
