Does anyone have AppleUSBMultitouch.kext from late 2008 MBP

Does anyone have AppleUSBMultitouch.kext from a late 2008 Unibody MBP. (It needs to be updated to the latest firmware)

It's located in /System/Library/Extensions

I'm trying to enable three finger drag on my non-uniblody early 2008 MBP (the first model to have multi-touch).

I have one from an April ’09 MBP. You could try it, don’t know if it would work.

Didn't the early 2008 MBP get that feature with the recent trackpad update?

no. it only got inertial scroll. but no three finger drag

Well I tried to replace my AppleUSBMultitouch.kext with the other one, and... it didn't work. It turns our that the two files are exactly identical (md5 checksum).

Then I found this guy ( https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/979493/ )

He modified the info.plist file in AppleUSBMultitouch.kext, and he said that it works. but I tried it and it still didn't work.

Did you edit the plist and then reboot?

I edited the plist, repaired permissions, and then I rebooted.
