I am currently using the 13 mini and while I love this thing and its compact powerful size, I do miss having a bigger screen. I was thinking of possible getting the iPhone 13 to switch back and forth from. The Pro would be too heavy (although 120hz is tempting) and the 12’s battery life is kinda eh. I just want to know if anyone else has multiple iPhones that they switch back and forth from. Or am I just crazy.. lol

I use a 6S as my work phone, but I don't make phone calls for work, so it's just tethered to my 12 mini for data when not on wifi. It's just because they install a cert and VPN so I don't want that on my personal device. As soon as I get the battery replaced on an OG SE, I'll carry that as my work phone instead since it's smaller.
I've gotten used to carrying a small laptop bag that has headphones and chargers as well as my work phone and iPad (no laptop usually). If I need any larger screen stuff, the iPad it is.

I have a 13PM as my personal phone and an SE 2 as my issued work phone. I hate the smaller screen on the SE, and the functionality isn’t the same so I’m constantly trying to tap to wake or ‘where’s the face id’, and instead have the home button.

We are just crazy.

I have the 13 PM, 13 Pro and 13 mini. I mainly switch off between the PM and pro for regular use. I'm leaning more and more towards just using the 13 Pro as the 13 PM is just too big in my pocket. I mainly use the 13 mini as a ipod for long walks and workouts. Even though I don't have big hands the mini is too small to be used as a DD. It's just too small and I also have a hard time reading news articles on it.

Whoa, three phones in the 13 lineup. Awesome. I like the mini as I have smaller hands, I’m used to the X/XS/11 Pro screen size. That is the sweet spot for me. 6.1” is a bit big but I guess I have to get used to it eventually as that will probably be the “small“ version going forward

do you just swap SIMs and how often do you switch between devices? And I’m curious. Do you have cases and screen protectors for each one? That’s the only downfall, having to get a set for a new device

My primary phone is an 11 Pro Max. My secondary phone, which has an active SIM, is a 6s+. I use it for when I'm out riding on my bike or in situations where the risk of damage to my 11PM is high. I'd rather break the 6s+ if a phone is going to break.

My wife has an 11PM for her primary and her Google Pixel 3a XL for her secondary line. She uses the secondary for school purposes (she's a teacher) and in any situation where she doesn't want the other person knowing her primary phone number.

My daughter is using my wife's old 6s. I have a 3GS, a 4, a 4s, a 5 and a Pixel 3a XL as well. My son has an SE 2020 as his primary phone and the original SE (which I got him in 2017 for his birthday). No idea what he uses his old SE for, but he wanted to keep it.

Imo it's important to have more than one usable smartphone nowadays. A smartphone is so crucial nowadays that for many, it's impossible to not have a current active one at any time. Worse, with certain repairs can take a variable amount of time (eg. parts being backordered), having a secondary phone is more crucial than ever.

Eg. in my country, the government requires checking in/out of locations such as offices/retaurants/malls as part of contact tracing. That require a smartphone app. If you don't have one, or yours broke and you don't have a backup smartphone, you would be unable to go to many places. We're no longer in the era one can go by without a smartphone.

I EDC the 13 PM ( with both sim enabled ) plus either the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra or the newly acquired Galaxy Z Fold 3.

The iPhone houses my personal ( physical sim ) and business ( esim ) numbers, and the Note/Fold has my second personal number.

I have a backup device ( iPhone SE 2nd Gen and a Pixel 6 ) in both my cars, with an active sim in each ( free lines from TMobile promo )

wow, I didn’t realize that owning more than 1 phone was a thing these days.. guess I‘m a bit behind on the times ?

Now question for those who have multiple phones like @daddyd302 - how do y’all manage accessories? Do you still get cases and screen protectors for each device?

For ages after they were obsolete I kept an iPhone 4S. I used it to stream Apple Music to my hifi via its headphone socket. Firstly because it conveniently fitted in a 30-pin charging-dock I had already bought when I first bought the phone years and years earlier, secondly because its DAC was better than the one in my then-current phone, my 6S.

By luck or by judgement, the DAC in the iPhone 4S was a stunner, for a phone. No DAC in any iPhone afterwards would ever sound as good.

iPhone 13 Mini and 13 Pro Max here. Mini is my daily driver, Pro Max for vacations, road trips etc (photos). And as a "tablet" for videos.

Nope each one has their own lines, they were free. I just restore them as the same from my old iphone 12 PM. I have bumpers for them all and no screen protector.

when you use your pro max, is it basically a content consumotion device or do you actually swap sims

Not crazy at all! I have a regular 13 and a 12 mini that I regularly switch between. Not for any particular reason, just because :)

Do you live in Nazi Germany still? that sounds incredibly invasive.

Sounds like your country needs a revolution.

Used to carry two phones, one for work and the other for personal. With the dual SIM/eSIM capabilities now, I've merged them together and just receive calls and texts on my work line on my personal phone. Easy enough to separate out when outbound calling/texting and specifying which line to use. Otherwise, I'm so glad I did that. Hated carrying two phones around for so many years.
