I'm using Reminders a lot (on iOS 17, iPadOS 17 and macOS Sonoma) and I just can't get rid of grouped reminders.

Instead of having individual notification banners for each reminder, I'd get something like "Reminder X and 10 others". But I'd prefer to have a banner showing individually for each reminder. First, because it allows me to actually see what the "10 others" are, and second, because I can mark them as done directly from the notification when they appear individually.

I believe I've tried everything, but none of the solutions has worked to avoid grouped reminders. So I'm starting to think this must be a bug and was wondering if this is still persisting in iOS 18.

I think it must have been there for many years, because I've had this issue for as long time. Has anyone else had this problem?

@scouser75 Do you have this issue as well?

I’m surprised nobody either has this issue or nobody seems to mind it.

Maybe nobody uses reminders that much or as intensively as I do.

Just out of curiosity, you've probably already tried it, does the notification change at all when you turn off Notification Grouping for the Reminders app?

I haven’t noticed any changes sadly … maybe group reminders relate to something else (e.g. to other situations when reminders are to be shown in groups, for example after you turned off your device, or in the morning).

I’m not exactly sure how it works. But it didn’t solve the thing I’m trying to solve.

Maybe it’s not even solvable, maybe that’s just the way they planned it.

I remember when it used to not be like that quite some years ago. It always bugged me when it changed to grouped reminders. Was never able to fix it all these years. Have sent feedback to Apple plenty of times. They’re behind on everything.
