Does anyone here repair minis? Wifi stopped working perhaps because the fan stopped working? I have upgraded many unibody minis but the last 2 I seem to have messed up the fan? I am now to old, shaky and have poor vision to deal with this stuff any more.

Also a usb3 high speed Wifi dongle?
All I do anymore is surf the interweb mostly ;D
I would even consider a nuc type unit, sacrilege I know.
Thanks for any input

There's pretty much only one company in the biz that's offering USB dongles compatible with macOS - Edimax. AFAIK they haven't certified any of their drivers for Mojave - you didn't specify which OS you're running, which would help others a bit. Their newer units have drivers certified from Lion to High Sierra. I've got a few of their dongles installed on Macs at one of my offices, the wifi is faster than the stock built-in wifi as it's both AC (1300) and MIMO, the model is EW-7833UAC and I bought them at a B&M Fry's.

An alternative is using an extender with ethernet out, used at two of my field offices to connect a Mini Server and a couple of devices that are a bit finicky with wireless connections...
