Hi,

Does anyone know an alternative for the OS X trash app Compost?

Development has now stopped so im looking for an alternative that is still being updated. I don't need lots of other bells and whistles.

I like the way Compost was a Preference Pane and you could auto empty the Trash by size or date, although I'm not sure I would have paid $20 for it.

Thanks.

I have been using AppDelete for a few years. No complaints, updated periodically.

Thanks, but it's not the same thing. AppDelete is an uninstaller. Compost monitors your Trash Can and automatically deletes trashed files after x days, after a set size is reached or a set percentage of disk space.

In case anybody else ends up searching for something similar...

Hazel by Noodlesoft can do this. I wouldn't necessary recommend you buy it just for this feature (its USD 29) but I have been interested in Hazel for it's other features for a long time so I splashed out.
