I've had Voice Memos synced between my iPhone 8 and my iMac for a while. I record song ideas out and about on my phone and then go through them later on my desktop with decent speakers. Very useful. However, a few weeks ago syncing stopped working: basically none of the new voice memos beyond a certain date have made it onto my iMac. Testing shows a new memo recorded on my iMac doesn't make it back over to the phone either.
  • I have tried turning off iCloud sync for voice memos and then turn it back on.
  • I have tried signing out of iCloud and then signing in again on the iMac
  • When I log into iCloud Drive on iCloud.com in a web browser there is no folder shown for Voice Memos, although there are folders for other apps like Music Memos, Pages, etc.
  • However, on my iPhone if I go to Settings > iCloud > Manage Storage > Voice Memos it says there is 350MB of data
Something seems to be not syncing but I'm not sure how to make it work again. I don't really want to have to delete all my existing voice memos from my phone though.

iMac is running Mojave. iPhone running iOS 12 although I updated it to iOS13 yesterday and it has made no difference to the issue.

Does anyone on here use Voice Memo syncing between iOS and MacOS on a fairly frequent basis? If so do you ever have any syncing issues or is it just me?

I am not having any issues. I use this multiple times daily, as I am often on the go and need to note something to myself. I use the Apple Watch voice memos complication, and have not had an issue with them showing up on the Mac.

Just sharing my experience!

Well, good to know it's working for you! In that case I guess I will persevere and try to get it working. I'm guessing I may have to delete everything and start again.

Yeah, if anything I hope that it working for me shows it can be done. Have you tried logging out of / back into iCloud on the iPhone?

i have the same thing happening.. UGG... and i do the same thing.. had a very unhelpful apple support session and then they never got back to me...
