Does anyone know how to unlock 6.1.2 iPhone 4/4S?

Hello Guys Good morning or afternoon!

I have an iphone 4 which is my mothers and i got an iphone 4s for myself.

I have a dilemma about the UNLOCKING or Flashing of the iphone 4 and 4s

i got my sprint carrier me and my mom we pay way to much and i was wondering if there was any way to actually unlock it to T-Mobile pre paid.
I researched all over Google and i dont see any valuable data is just only ADS and FAKE info.

Please anyone help me. Back then i used ultrasnow to unlock it on my 3gs.
But now things have changed Thanks and Loyal Apple Fan Here :D

Iphone 4 CDMA, Version 6.1.2 , Baseband 3.0.04
Iphone 4s GSM, Version 6.1.2 , Baseband 3.4.02

An iPhone 4 cannot be used with GSM sim, it has no sim slot.
An iPhone 4S does have a sim slot, but an official unlock only unlocks it for International sims, not US carriers. For 4S you can look into a sim interposer.

Hey thanks! but i know that the 4 is CDMA is there any tools for it? but you say there is a permanent unlock for it right? but that only comes handy outside of the US? well it will be good to know at least where or how to do it? or any carrier provided :)

and ill check out what u meant baout the 4s because i want to move to tmobile so bad im paying like 125 per month i hate it :(

I don't think it's possible to use a sprint iPhone on any of the carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc) in the US even if you get it unlocked by sprint

Perhaps you should re-read my response, I said nothing about a permanent unlock for iPhone 4 that would allow the use of a T-Mobile sim.
You cannot use an CDMA Sprint iPhone 4 on T-Mobile !

Is it possible to make this work on 4s by sprint? :(
like not a permanent unlock but an unlock from somewhere else like a temp unlock if updating messes up the unlocking or jailbreak than maybe theres a method like an exploit for it right? :D

If your 4S is AT&T (since you say gsm), you can order an unlock via ebay (should be only around $5) and it'll be factory unlocked and you will be able to use it on T-Mobile.

Jailbreaking is not equivalent to unlocking. Software unlock is pretty much dead

There is no way to use a sprint iPhone on another US carrier

Oh okay well my sprint iphone 4s white 16 gig storage.
has a mini gsm card and its sprint it is not att
So there is no possible ways to manage a full unlock with t-mobile via any tool? amazon, ebay, from hardware by purchasing that unlock like apple n berry idk there must be methods. please...

Actually, a CDMA phone can be flayed to any CDMA carrier.

Of course, that doesn't help the threadstarter.

I already replied your option is a sim interposer for 4S CDMA phone.
But they are cumbersome to use

I have a Iphone 4 verizon also. Need Help!

I also have a Iphone 4 CDMA, Version 6.1.2 , Baseband 3.0.04. I have done lots of research but can't find a solution to unlocking it to use on Metro pcs. Please help, Thank you.

Oh yes i know what you mean and yeah i know what a sim interposer is but is it available for sprint network on 6.1.2? thats what im trying to find out cause i know everytime you upgrade the version the bb also upgrades as well thats what i heard.. but all im trying to look for is to get a sim interposer that is compatible with the sprint 4s 6.1.2 BB 3.4.02 9

maybe theres already a way to unlock it by this method?

Im not sure about gsm. But with cdma it can be flashed to another cdma carrier. But it also depends on the flashing company you use. Some can only do the 4. Others can do the 4 to the 5. Some can only flash if running ios5 others can flash no matter what.

Its all in what company and what carrier really.

I know this probably doesnt help but just wanted to say what i knew about flashing a iphone.

A CDMA phone can only be flashed to one CDMA carrier at a time as I understand it.
But, in either case, this will not help get the threadstarter to T-Mobile since it is not a CDMA carrier.
 
That is correct. As you see i did mention i didnt know about gsm. I saw where cdma flashing was talked about, so i added what i knew about it. Since his is cdma it would be a better chamce of flashing to metro, page plus, virgin. Somewhere along those lines.
