Does Apple buy your old macs?

I have the macbook air and want to upgrade to the PRO.

Does Apple give any credit if you "trade" in the another product? If no, what do you recommend I do? I don't want both.

Apple does have a trade in program. It's called Apple Recycling Program.

They will buy it from you and give you in store credit, but I'm pretty sure you can get more value by selling it yourself on other markets.

You will get more parting it out. My early dead 2008 is worth nothing to them.
