Does Apple do screen replacements in store?

But I'm sure they'll be happy to sell you a new one. I don't think they even accept trade-in for a cracked screen.

Most Official Apple stores now do repairs on site.
Give you local Apple store a call and check.
They fixed my iphone 5 bottom speaker when it died and wouldn't make any sounds again.
They took it in the back, installed a new speaker and 10 minutes later I walked out with my i5 repaired.
