Does Apple gets commission from carriers with installment plan?

Apparently Best Buy gets commission from carriers for selling iPhones on carrier installment plan. Hence, extra $100 surcharge for purchasing iPhone X with full payment before offering carrier installment plan only.

Wonder if Apple Store (functioning as retailer) gets commission from carriers for signing its customers to carrier installment rather than full payment.

Just wondering for fun ......
