Does Apple honor Sales Tax holidays

Does anyone know if Apple honors various state sales tax holiday? Our sales tax holiday is August 10-11, and computer purchases up to $1000.00 are tax exempt. This is done mainly for back to school supplies, clothing, and computers and accessories. Thinking about purchasing a refurb IMac which would fall just under the $1000.00 limit.
 
Sadly, I think only clothing and school supplies qualify for Texas :/


Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!
