Hi,

I have a defective macbook air and imac computer which has to be repaired (major repairs) and/or replaced. I spoke to a senior consumer relations advisor, who said that I can get a gift from Apple as a form of compensation. Has anyone ever received a gift card from Apple for a defective computer as compensation as that is what I would prefer to get? Thanks! :)

I've gotten two computers replaced with newer models but never a gift card.

They only give u gift cards if there is no other way to make u whole, like u bought a one-of-a-kind furnishing and substitution will not do. Nobody mind a newer computer.

Why would you need compensation? Your machine(s) became faulty, and they're being fixed (fulfilling their warranty obligations) or replaced (going way beyond their warranty obligations). Stuff breaks, get over it.
