Did Apple or ATT do this to me (4 hours after accepting my apple.com order and emailing me the confirmation? I even got an email from ATT with terms of service confirming my 24 month Next purchase: (I have 1 account 2 lines. I upgrade one to an iphone 8 plus two days before this happened when I tried to upgrade my other line to an iphone X 64 gig.)

"Dear Apple Customer,

Thank you for your recent Apple Online Store purchase.

We are unable to process your order as it exceeds the quantity limits per customer. As a result, we've cancelled your order and you will not be charged. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Apple Store"

I thought apple was two at a time.
I was able to do 3 under contract at apple on an established account

Apple was / is limiting you, AT&T had nothing to do with Apple sending you this email. It is only an online thing. Are you sure that you ordered the iPhone X on the correct line? Apple.com does limit quantities to help prevent scalping. You can always purchase at the physical Apple store or order from AT&T.

However, it really appears to be an error on Apple's side. Give them a call using the information in the link below.

Thanks Dave.

I just checked inventory this morning (6:15am black friday) and it shows it as being in stock at that same store (it was showing as out-of stock last night).

So, I placed another order and as soon as apple.com opens (8am eastern), I'll call and try to escalate to a manager to push this through without canceling it again.

Yea it’s from Apple. If you buy too many apple will just cancel your order and email you.

I have two line, and ordered one iphone 8 (from ATT), and one iphone X (from apple). WTF?

If that’s the case then that should not be happening as you only ordered 1 before. Normally if you exceed your limit you get a message before it goes through. I’ve had this happen to me too but I used a different Apple ID and worked fine. Otherwise you could give Apple a call and have them explain to you why you got that email when you only ordered once.

Maybe your account has been hacked and someone else is ordering iPhones with your info. Happened to me on VZW, but through VZW website.

I'm pleased to report that I placed another order for instore pickup (same method, and to the same store), and this time I got the confirming email about an hour later. I showed up and got my phone with no fuss. I guess the first time it was just a system bug.

BTW, I love my iphone X !!!!
